The Workshop:

Our day will start with an opening circle with an overview of the Gifts of the Earth Workshop.

Then we’ll spend the bulk of the day crafting herbal holiday gifts with guidance of experienced and practicing herbalists, Erin LaFaive of Full Circle Herbals and Kerri Kiernan of River Prairie Apothecary.

We’ll bring our day to a close by sharing reflections on the process and appreciating the abundance we have created!

Light refreshments provided and opportunity to purchase other tasty choices from the Orchard Store.

These herbal gifts are so much more special than what you can find in a store; they are novel, enticing, fresh, and low-cost once you have the skills. You will make a deeper connection with nature and herbs, learn about their medicinal properties, and carry the skill of transforming herbs into precious herbal gifts with you for the rest of your life.

Don’t worry if you end up wanting to keep the herbal gifts for yourself, you can do that too!

Extra supplies and herbal items will be available for purchase in addition to the registration fee.

This event will take place at the wonderfully cozy shop of Bushel and a Peck Apple Orchard, Chippewa Falls, WI.

About Erin and Kerri

Hi, I’m Erin LaFaive, Master Herbalist and Plant Priestess, I’ve been studying and practicing nature spirituality for decades. I’ve worked in three greenhouses learning to cultivate and care for herbs, vegetables, shrubs, and trees. Also, I’ve taught 1000s of people of all ages about herbalism, horticulture, and environmental subjects for well over 10 years.

Hi, I’m Kerri Kiernan, I am passionate about working with medicinal plants, studying their natural habitats, growing herbs, creating art inspired by wild plants and preparing herbs into medicines to share with others. I seek to help foster a deep respect for nature and the life that connects and supports us.

Using plants for healing, also known as herbalism, is everyone’s medicine. There are many ways to use herbs safely and effectively as part of a healthy lifestyle. Herbs are supportive allies in helping you improve your health; they can assist your body through its inherent healing processes as well as connect you to the natural world. Ultimately, herbs connect us to each other as we all have to work together to protect the spaces where these wild medicines grow and to share herbal knowledge so that it can continue to improve the lives of many.
